About the Artist

After receiving my Fine Arts degree from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I worked in oils, acrylics, sculpture, pen & ink, and scratchboard. Then early on in my career, I fell in love with the detail and realism I could get from the line work of Intaglio etching. The hand painting also added a whole new dimension, bringing the birds and animals to life. And an artist friend of mine taught me how to carve feathers out of tupelo wood to frame below some of my birds. For twenty something years I've exhibited portraits of my beloved wildlife throughout Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, meeting lots of nice people and receiving many awards along the way.

Now I am concentrating on watercolor painting. This is something I never took the time to learn before, and have also produced a line of note cards from some of my favorite paintings.

I hope you will enjoy the collection on this website. Perhaps the fine lines of my etchings will show you a little bit more than you've seen before, and you will discover, as I did, the real beauty, fascination, and artistry the world of wildlife holds.
